Felicitas Sonvilla is a writer, director and editor for documentary and fiction films based in Berlin. She obtained a Bachelor of the Arts in film, theatre and media studies at the University of Vienna in 2010 and her diploma in Documentary Film Directing at the University of Film and Television Munich in 2019.
She has worked with ZDF/MDR/RBB/ARTE on the documentary series "Boys" (2021) and "Blast the Past" (2024) as a director.
Her films have been shown at festivals around the world, like Berlinale, IDFA Amstedam, Filmfestmünchen and Max Ophüls Film Festival.
She has been teaching film editing at the University of Film and Television Munich and the Hochschulzentrum für Tanz Berlin and has published two research studies about gender and diversity in film and television.
